Tiny!Shigaraki and Caregiver!Kurogiri are my aesthetic.
Three things to note:
Kurogiri does not really understand video games, but he tries for Shigaraki’s sake.
Poor Shigaraki, traumatized child that he was, has always had a bit of a weak bladder. He probably wet the bed well into his pre-teens. Kurogiri, knowing what he’d been through, was always understanding.
Young Shigaraki cried a lot: when he made things disintegrate by accident, when he felt afraid or frustrated, and sometimes even he wasn’t sure why.
Kurogiri couldn’t frown, necessarily, but he could certainly look… expressive. He figured all of that was lost on his young charge, however, as Shigaraki made no move to slow down his explanation or pause the game. All he’d wanted to know was why it was so imperative Shigaraki’s avatar make it through the loop completely.
“You can clearly just… move on without completing the loop,” the void had said curiously. He’d been washing clothes but Shigaraki’s frustrated exclamations had caught his attention. A few moments after sitting down–intending to just talk the boy through his near tantrum–and Kurogiri was intrigued in spite himself.
“Yeah but,” Shigaraki whined, lips pursed as he tried again, “then I won’t get the extra points and the achievement at the end.”
“What can you do with the achievements?” Kurogiri pressed, noting that his questioning seemed to temporarily quell the incoming tantrum. He was very much not in the mood to clean up a gaming console.
“You don’t /do/ anything with them,” Shigaraki grumbled, “they’re just to show that you’re really good at the game.”
“Is that important right now? Shouldn’t you focus on beating the game once first, and then go back for the achievements?” Kurogiri tilted his head to one side as Shigaraki slowly turned to look at him. The older Villain’s eyes became oddly shaped as he tried to heavily emote his confusion at Shigaraki’s blank stare.
“Don’t you have… chores to do?” Shigaraki growled, no longer amused by Kurogiri’s questions. The white haired boy nodded to himself as Kurogiri sighed heavily–outlines of his dark figure wiggling–and returned to his laundry basket.
